Pastor Charlie Oh was a student of the former San Yu High School located beside Singapore Chinese Adventist Church. Throughout his secondary school education, he received bible studies from his teacher Chung Wai Leng and pastors/ chaplains like Ps Toh See Wei, Ps Leong, Ps John Tan and Ps Johnny Kan. On the Sabbath morning of 25th December, 1993, he was determined despite facing family objections to make a public commitment of seeking the Lord first in his life through baptism.
胡财喜牧师早年在新加坡重生堂毗邻的三育中学完成学业。求学期间，曾经在郑玮玲老师和涂思维牧师、张国良教士、陈光英牧师及简文亮牧师多位校牧和牧者的带领接受查经。1993年12月25日的安息日早上，即使受到家人的反对，他选择在众人前表态和受浸，接受耶稣为个人的救主。
Being an active Christian since the days in San Yu, Ps Oh was actively involved in Thomson Youth Ministry as a youth leader for 6 years. At the same period, he got to know and married his long-term partner in ministry, Estelle. Their working relationship in ministry since 1994, developed into a closer bonding of a couple. Responding to God’s call with much prayer and consideration, he entered Hong Kong Adventist College to study ministry. This overseas experience has given him opportunities to learn and serve in places like Hong Kong, Mainland China and Australia, which also developed his passion reaching the overseas Chinese residing in Singapore.
在三育中学求学期间，胡牧师活跃于青年事工，担任青年领袖长达六年。期间，他认识了同样在事工中也非常活跃的符美洁姐妹。自1994年共同在青年事工服侍神，随后两人缔结连理。在多次的祷告和回应上帝的感召，他负笈香港三育基督学院神学系。深造期间，让他有机会在新加坡、香港、内地及澳洲墨尔本进行传道实习和圣工服侍。这些宝贵的经验让他学成归国后，积极的向旅居在新加坡的华人布道。
Upon returning to Singapore, he started his internship in Chuan Hoe Church for a year from 2004 and moved on to Jurong Chinese Church in 2005. After completion of his 2 year internship, he continued his pastoral ministry in Jurong Chinese Church till present. He was elected youth director in 2006 and started working closely with the Youth Leaders, Pathfinders, and Young Adult Leaders.
2004年，他开始在新加坡泉和堂进行牧养实习传道。2005年则在裕廊中文堂实习，两年实习期结束后，他继续牧养该堂至今。2006年，他开始担任新加坡区会青年事工部干事，与各堂青少年事工领导人、前锋会共同服侍上帝。
Ps Oh believed strongly in introducing people to Christ with every opportunity, baptising them after bible studies, and training them to become Disciples of Christ. His passion in people is greatly experienced in his visitations and personal bible studies. His passion in singing touched hearts when he led in worship.
胡牧师相信一有机会引人认识主，让人借着查经受洗归主，随后进一步培训信徒成为基督的门徒。接着探访和个人查经，使他对人充满热情，同时他也喜爱在崇拜时领唱，借此感动人心。
Estelle Foo, his wife grew up as an Adventist kid in Singapore Chinese SDA Church. At 14, Dr Tan Pik Yee started to give her bible studies along with other girls leading her to be baptised in 1991. She left her job as a staff nurse to follow her husband to Hong Kong for his studies. After coming back to Singapore, she has been working as a clinical research coordinator at CDC, back to her work with the patients there.
符美洁师母自幼小在新加坡重生堂长大，14岁开始让邓碧玉医生带领下查经，并在1991年受洗归入主的大家庭。为跟随胡牧师负笈香港三育基督学院，她辞去了注册护士的工作。返国后，她目前担任临床研究协调员。
